Palworld has been one of the most talked-about games since it launched in January 2024. After two and a half years in Early Access, the game is finally crossing the finish line. The 1.0 update is the biggest thing Pocketpair has ever shipped, and everything is about to change.
Palworld 1.0 Release Date and Countdown
The Palworld 1.0 release date is July 10, 2026, and it is hitting every platform at the same time. So you can get the game on:
- PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store
- Xbox Series X/S
- Xbox One
- PlayStation 5
Pocketpair made the announcement during Summer Game Fest on June 5, 2026, alongside the game's first-ever cinematic trailer. The trailer confirmed new areas, new Pals, and the end of the Early Access era. For now, Pocketpair has not confirmed an exact launch time yet.
A few things to note:
- Your existing save data carries over completely.
- Xbox Game Pass players get the version included.
- Everyone who already owns the game gets the update for free.
What Is New in Palworld 1.0
Pocketpair has called 1.0 the biggest update the game has ever received, and the confirmed content backs that up. Two new major areas, several new Pals, a new breeding system, and a proper PvP mode are all landing on the same day.
The World Tree
Since launch, the World Tree has been sitting on the horizon of the Palpagos Islands. You could see it, but never interact with it. On July 10, it will finally be available to play.

The World Tree becomes the primary endgame zone in 1.0. Pocketpair describes it as a place where you piece together fragments of the world's true story. You can expect enemies, exclusive resources, and a massive boss-level encounter tied to the guardian of the tree.
Sky Islands
Sky Islands is the floating landmasses appearing above Palpagos in 1.0. The trailer shows the player riding a massive dragon upward into the clouds, with a huge Sky Dragon Pal waiting as what looks like a Legendary-tier encounter.

Each Sky Island is expected to have its own Pals and resources. A new Wing Pack also arrives with 1.0, letting you glide across the sky.
New Pals Confirmed for 1.0
The cinematic trailer and anniversary teasers have revealed several new Pals. Here is everything confirmed so far:
- Fire Dragon Pal
- Panda Pal
- Sky Dragon Pal
- Sword Eel Pal
- Tree Guardian
- Dupin
- Whale Pal

The Paldeck is expected to exceed 200 entries with 1.0, so more Pals beyond what the trailer showed are almost certainly coming.
Genetic Recombination
Version 1.0 introduces an all-new breeding feature that lets players crossbreed high-level Legendary Pals, creating special variant Pals that carry characteristics from each parent.
PvP Mode and Other New Features
- PvP Mode - This will give competitive players a proper structured way to test their Pals and gear against other players for the first time.
- Paint Mode - Lets you customize how things look in your world.
- Server Clustering - Lets multiple server instances run together to support higher player counts in a shared world (for dedicated server players only).
Palworld launched to numbers almost no game has ever seen. Over 32 million players have come through Palpagos, and the game peaked at more than 2.1 million concurrent users on Steam alone in its first weeks. The game remains available on every platform until now, and Palworld 1.0 is launching on schedule.
