Palworld Version 1.0 seems to be bringing a whole wave of Dark-type Pals, and Hoodle is the latest addition to that list. We already suspect Solenne and Dupin to be Dark-type Pals, and now Hoodle joins the mix. In this guide, we will cover what we know about Hoodle so far, including where to find it, its breeding combinations, and what to expect from its combat potential once Palworld Version 1.0 drops.

Hoodle Location in Palworld
At the time of writing, we are not really sure about the spawn locations of Hoodle in Palworld. However, once the update is live, we will add a Palworld map below outlining Hoodle's spawn points. Hoodle was first revealed through a Twitter post on June 21. Whether it is strictly nocturnal or can also be found during the day has not been confirmed yet and will be updated once Version 1.0 is live.
How to Get Hoodle in Palworld?
Hoodle is a new Pal arriving in Palworld Version 1.0. Based on its suspected Dark typing, it is likely available as a wild spawn and may also be hatched from a Dark Egg. I don't really feel he will be a raid boss, so probably the only ways to get him will be from the Dark egg, breeding, and in the wild.
How to Beat Hoodle in Palworld?
Hoodle is a suspected Dark type Pal, which means Dragon-type Pals are your strongest pick going into this fight. Pals like Chillet, Dinossom, and Elphidran will give you a clear type advantage here. On the other hand, you will want to keep Neutral type Pals like Lamball, Cattiva, and Mozzarina on the bench since they will not fare well against Hoodle.
As a small Dark type Pal, Hoodle is not expected to have a particularly high stat total, so the fight itself should not be too demanding defensively. Pal Sphere recommendations and more detailed tips will be added once Version 1.0 launches.

Hoodle Active Skills and Partner Skills
Hoodle Active Skills
Hoodle's design draws comparisons to Finsider Ignis from Palworld and carries a similar energy to Mimikyu from Pokémon in terms of its small body type. Much like how Finsider Ignis punched above its weight with a powerful, unique move, there is speculation that Hoodle could follow a similar path. If its unique move or partner skill ends up having high DPS output, it could be a genuine contender in the Dark type tier alongside established picks like Shadowbeak and Bellanoir. That said, stat totals for small Dark type Pals are rarely impressive, so it all comes down to what that unique move turns out to be. Full skill details will be confirmed once the update is live.

Can Hoodle Be Ridden in Palworld?
Based on its small structure and overall design, Hoodle does not appear to be a rideable Pal. This will be confirmed once Palworld Version 1.0 launches.
